Samsung appears ready to bring back its in-house Exynos processors with the upcoming Galaxy S26 Pro. After skipping Exynos for the Galaxy S25 lineup earlier this year, reports suggest that Samsung’s next flagship will feature the 2nm Exynos 2600 chipset.
According to a new report from SamMobile, evidence indicates that the Galaxy S26 Pro, the base model of the S26 series, will indeed run on the Exynos 2600. However, this chipset will reportedly be exclusive to global markets, while US and China variants will feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, unveiled last month.
SamMobile also notes that the Galaxy S26 Plus may follow a similar dual-chip strategy — Exynos for international models and Snapdragon for the US and China. The report further suggests that Samsung has likely resolved the yield issues that previously affected the Exynos 2600.
